Giving Tree embraced the opportunity to contribute to the Mariposa-Nabi Community Garden, one of ten community gardens supported by LA County. Nestled at the intersection of 9th and Mariposa, this garden thrives on a sustainable cycle: growing and harvesting plants, repurposing waste to enrich the soil, and donating surplus produce to local food banks.With dedication and enthusiasm, Giving Tree volunteers exchanged their time and effort to nurture this vibrant green space. From monitoring soil quality and planting seeds to composting and managing waste, their hands-on work helps cultivate not just plants, but community well-being. Giving Tree remains committed to finding new ways to support and grow alongside their community, fostering a legacy of care and sustainability.
