Friends Of The LA River

FoLAR is a non-profit organization that tries to restore and ensure a publicly accessible and ecologically vibrant Los Angeles River. They are trying their best to heal the ecological scar that courses 51 miles throughout LA. One way they try to achieve this goal is through LA River cleanups which Dream Tree Youth Leaders Foundation has had the opportunity to participate in. Members went into the river to pick up trash such as rags, clothing, cans, and plastic to help restore nature and make LA greener.
